We first entered the Geelong Business Excellence Awards because we wanted to showcase what we have achieved so far, but also to challenge ourselves and see how we measured up across the region. Taking home Business of the Year, especially when we were up against hundreds of high calibre businesses, has been an absolute honour for our team.

The awards journey gave us the chance to take a proper look at who we are, celebrate what we are doing well and identify ways we can keep improving. It pushed us to step back from the day to day, look at our culture, our systems and the way we show up for our clients, and really understand what makes our team so strong.

Through the process, we learnt the value of telling our story and recognising the impact of our team. Whether in the office or out on site, every person plays a vital role in our success, and this recognition truly belongs to them.

For any business thinking about entering, I would say go for it. You get so much out of the experience, and you might be surprised by what you learn about your own team.
