Individual Business Leader – Entry Criteria

The individual entry criteria is outlined below.

The Business Leader of the Year Award celebrates a business professional who has demonstrated successful leadership skills.

Please note: All the criteria carry the same weight when the judges score your entry.

Option A – Enter someone

To enter an individual, complete the online entry form.

Enter all contact details as per the online form
Does this individual know you are entering them?

Please note:  the awards team will contact the individual to confirm whether they wish to be entered.

Answer the following questions (max 500 words per question):

Questions for Business Leader of the Year Award
Provide a snapshot of the individual and a brief description of their leadership qualities, achievements and skills. What has been their greatest success?
How does this individual achieve high standards of leadership excellence in the business they represent and how have their values influenced their team?
How does the individual contribute to the Geelong community and what impact has this contribution made on the community?

Option B – Enter yourself

Enter all contact details as per the online form
Provide a news-ready photo of yourself (should we promote you). You will need to supply us with a minimum of 1 High Resolution profile photo (minimum 1mb or larger, colour, PNG or JPEG format)

Answer the following questions (max 500 words per question):

1. Provide an overview of yourself including a brief description of your leadership qualities, achievements and skills. What has been your greatest success?

2. How do you achieve high standards of leadership excellence in the business you represent and how have your values influenced your team?

3. How do you contribute to the Geelong community and what impact has this contribution made on the community?

If shortlisted as a finalist, you must be available to attend an interview on Friday 8th of August 2025.
